The church of Christ here in Etna has been in existence for around
one hundred years. But despite its long history in Franklin County,
the church is also beginning a fresh start.
Many of you probably noticed the new brick building in which we
meet. The members worked hard to give us this wonderful new place in
which to meet. If you haven't been by to see our new building, come
join us at any of the times mentioned on the Home page.
The church has also recently hired a new preacher (me =) ) to work
with the church. I was a missionary for 7 ½ years in
southeast Asia. I have worked with people in communist China,
Islamic Malaysia, and Catholic Philippines. The struggles and
blessing of that work have helped shape my approach to presenting the
Bible in an easy to follow manner. I won't speak down to you nor
will I speak above anyone's head. The Bible is for all, and all can
understand its truths. Before coming to Arkansas I also spent 3 ½
years as a preacher in Nevada. My family and I are looking forward
to many years working with the church here in the Ozark area.
We have also started a new means of letting people know about us.
Namely this website. This site has actually been in use by me for
many years as part of my missionary work, but we have now revamped
the entire site to reflect our new location and our priorities in
seeking the lost in this area.
Finally, the church has begun a new attempt to interest people in
studying the Bible. We are actively advertising and encouraging
people to use one of our methods for studying the word of God. Feel

studies.
